You are probably referring to the Old testament, which died on the cross when Jesus was crucified. The main relevance the Old Testament has to today's Christianity are the numerous prophesies of the coming of Christ.

Nothing in the New Testament even remotely condones pedophilia, homosexuality, self-love, or any other perversion. In fact Jesus tells us that we should be true to the one we are married to..
