I`ve had plenty of cousins and uncles that hunt, but they hunted things they could eat. Killing bears is nothing but Kill for Thrill and this story has a happy ending.

A lot of people do eat Bear meat... you have to cook it properly so you don't get trichinosis so I wouldn't recommend it... make sure the internal temp is over 175 at least....

Murder? For some perspective there is a hunting season on bears and they are plentiful. Not often discussed is the fact that Hussein Obama issued a blanket pardon to the wind energy industry to kill endangered migratory birds. The turbine chops them up so there isn't much left to fall

"Murder victim kills his murderer."

Fake news.

The bear isn't a murder victim. It's dinner

The man that was killed wasn't his "murderer" at all, but another man.

I tried it once. I wouldn't recommend it regardless.

But it beats possum. Those little shits are the debbil.

Hunting bear should be like hunting deer for venison. Using dogs is cowardly.

I don't think you'd like hunting bear in Canada. They use donuts for bait.

Wow. Talk about shooter failure of situational awareness, with line to target! If younger, would make a Darwin Award-winning story.

A bear can't murder anything.

murder involves humans.

People eat bear meat, and bear skins can be used for rugs, clothes, etc.

Bears are not endangered in the country, and in some places hunting is needed to control the populations.

As a hunter who has bagged many a bear myself all I can say is, "well ain't that some shit!".

Look on the bright side, he died doing what he loved......A man can hardly ask for much more. :)

I never hunted bear with hounds (just coons) but I can see how that might have happened.

That problem was solved several years ago. Bird deaths immediately dropped 70 percent when they started painting one blade black.

How do you get raccoons to hunt bears?

A black painted blade? You gotta be kidding. So even if the black blade scenario is true they still justify 30% of migratory endangered bird deaths. A non native American citizen could be arrested for possession of a single eagle feather but the wind industry shovels them up and burns them without a worry.

We need to quantify bird deaths by "deaths per kilowatt hour" from all sources of power.
