Most Voters Think America’s Divisions Cannot Be Overcome, Poll Says.

We make two changes, if the Dems would allow it:

1) Increase the contribution amount by 1%
2) Move the retirement age forward by one year.

The system was set up when people lived just several years past 65 - not thirty years. We need to correct for that.

Why should we do either?

As it is, most of us put off retiring until we are 67.

You want us to put it off further? That's crazy.

Most of what Medicaid pays for is assistance for middle-class white people to live in nursing homes once they've lost the ability to care for themselves and have exhausted all their savings.

There you go again. There are more white people than black people in the US, ergo, it stands to reason that more would be in nursing homes and on Medicaid. Maybe I should start reminding you that white people pay the VAST majority of taxes, but then again, I don’t play racial politics like that.

Let me guess. You are in favor of removing the SS tax cap but keeping the benefit cap where it is. Why not since it won’t affect you. You guys are always ok with spending other people’s money.

Entitlements are the biggest driver of debt and deficit we have.

Social security’s trust fund is set to run out in 8 years, probably earlier since we are eliminating millions of workers. What happens then?
Also, son (you’re obviously quite young), I will give you solid financial advice:

1) If You have an employer match into a 401K, contribute up to that level to double your retirement build-up. My last employer contributed 8%, so I was putting away 16% of my salary,

2) Take the difference between your 401K contribution and 15% of your salary and invest it in a fund slated for retirement.

In the above example, on a $100,000 salary, you would be saving $16,000 into the 401K per year and an additional $7,000 (7%) into a retirement fund for a total of $23,000 a year.

Now let’s run the numbers:

- Start at age 40, and by 65, at a return on 7%, you’ll have $1.4 million for retirement. With a paid-off house, you’ll be more than fine.

- If you’re only 35 and start now, you’ll have more than $2 million.

Get cracking.

Are you in favor of raising the cap? That would be a HUGE tax increase for me with no added benefit.
We should have done so decades ago when it was clear to everyone this was going to be a problem.

We will do what is necessary, but I want the holier than thou conservative boomers acknowledge the shit show they handed my generation

Attacks on our Constitution continue. The illegal deportation of Men and Women who engage in Pro-Palestinian protests have been blocked. Free Speech under attack. Trump wants to put U.S. Troops on the ground of U.S. Cities. This is what Authoritarianism looks like
^^^
THIS is why we can't work with the anti-American left

Or you could be wiped out in the next stock market crash. Or you could outlive your savings. Then you'll be happy for Social Security.
Or I could provide for myself and buy an annuity.
Except nobody really does that. Most people who are on assistance are only on it for a few years.
There are millions of generational welfare families. The mother is still pushing out babies when her own daughters start having theirs.
Most of what Medicaid pays for is assistance for middle-class white people to live in nursing homes once they've lost the ability to care for themselves and have exhausted all their savings.
A significant portion goes to hospital services for low-income people, too.

And you zeroed in on Medicaid. But what about the generations on food stamps and housing subsidies? We have three generations of women - Grandmas in their 40s, Daughters in their 20s, and the Grandchildren all on welfare.
Sometimes worse - Grandmas in their 50s, Daughters in their 30s, Teenage Grandsughters, and Little Great-Grandchildren all on welfare.

I want you to acknowledge that I have given you good financial advice and that you can end up with $2 million on your own by acting responsibly.

I also want you to acknowledge that thanks to boomers, you have enjoyed medical advantages and technological developments that previous generations did not have.

I don’t need your advice. I’m doing just fine.

One, a generous employer match is uncommon, especially in the world of corporate demanding to maximize shareholder profit.

Two, the stock market is unlikely to see the kind of huge gains we have seen in the last. In all likelihood, we will see a decade of near zero growth. The weight of entitlements and federal deficit are drags on economic growth not to mention the constrained labor supply.

Since you’re so astonishingly wealthy and smart, you clearly done need your social security check so why don’t we just cut that proportionally to your stock portfolio and save the future generation the pain of having to sacrifice due to your generation’s complete failure.

In other words, people like me PAY MORE and GET LESS but you lose nothing.
No, people in your generstion are living longer than ever, and need to pitch in more to cover that.

And I lost a much better retirement fund by being forced into SS in the first place. But Democrats won’t allow us to privatize the system.

Have you seen the current health of the country?

Damn, you are one nasty piece of work.

I will not accept Pedo / NAMBLA / MAP LGBTQPN desensitization
But isn't THAT exactly what Trump has done and is doing with making the convicted and friend sex trafficker and sexual abuse of minors Ghislaine Maxwell a queen for a day, then by Trump moving her from a higher security prison to a CLUB FED with NO security prison resort....and with Trump considering pardoning her?

And with Trump saying about EPSTEIN and the Epstein Files that, THERE IS NOTHING TO SEE HERE, Epstein who? With Trump trying to hide from all of us, the sex trafficking ring of an estimated a thousand minor girls and models raped?

Isn't Trump brushing off the rich and famous billionaire boys club at 50 having sex with vulnerable 14 year old girls and grooming them to be prostitutes for the millionaires, desensitization of minor child sex trafficking by him, making every one of you ignore it, as he tells you to do...make you waxed cold pieces of deviant crap, just like him?

Longevity plateaued 20 years ago. You needed to pay more to cover that, but you didn’t because your generation didn’t give a shit about fiscal responsibility.

Your generation was all about taking whatever it can from whoever it could, including future generations.

As I said, your life has been enriched by the inventions and developments of the boomers. If you don’t think so, get the h off your iPad and throw it out the window,

Sorry, but someone needs to introduce you to reality. You’re so incredible entitled, that you refuse to acknowledge the shit show you handed future generations.

You have no idea how easy you had it.

Get therapy. The hate and resentment you feel toward people you never even met will put you in an early grave.
