Mosque On Ground Zero. An Act Of Aggression: Yea Or Nay?

Don't presume to know how all survivors of 9/11 victims think, Willow. And it's quite distasteful for anyone to wrap themselves in that mantle and milk it for cheap political points. You have no idea who or how many on this board may fit in that group, or what their feelings might be on the matter. Talk about insensitive!

nope, I don't presume anything. so in conclusion you guys don't give a shit about their feelings so long as you can kiss a terrorists ass.

You have evidence that the people behind this mosque are terrorists then?

This was the question.

Denigration? That's an odd way of looking at it.

I'm still waiting to see an answer to Kevin's question though. It's a good one.

which question would that be?

So you spew this shit all over a thread without even reading what other people are posting? That explains a lot.

I'm not stealing his thunder. If he wants to repeat it for you, he can. Otherwise you can scroll back 4 or 5 posts. But I for one am waiting to see what if anything you have to say to it. (I'm betting nothing)

typical demonRat. Voicing an opinion is "spewing shit" way to go.. and I thought you better than that.

Has ANYONE offered their opinion on what the proper distance from ground zero is supposed to be? The question I asked 3 days ago?

Or have you all decided that you don't really care about the distance?

500 yards?

1000 yards?

One mile?

Five miles?

Ten miles?

More?

If you honestly believe it's a proximity issue, then there HAS to be a distance that's acceptable to you.

Otherwise you're all full of shit as usual.

Who'll step up and name a distance?

For me not on the island of Manhattan. But if they are going to build a mosque in Manhattan for sensitivity reasons

Not in the financial district.

Mecca is 3,630 miles from NYC. I'm quite sure that distance would satisfy even the most anti Islam person.

Edit: Corndog already got your back. I'm slow. ;)

Have I ever once insulted you? No? Why then do you feel the need to do so to me? I mean I've read claims of yours that you are a lady, but I just don't see it.:cuckoo:

Bullshit you did.

But Kevin reasked his question....did you see it that time? :eusa_whistle:

Hard to prove a negative. Maybe you should show us the evidence you obviously have that they are terrorists.

so why do you catagorically deny any links to Al Qaeda?

I believe in the old adage of "innocent until proven guilty." I also try not to accuse people of something that I have no evidence of.

This is more of a civil type case than a criminal case, innocent until proven guilty doesn't apply. It's more like innocent until I suspect not.

Actually it's not a case at all, since there's been no crime.

Poor Willow, I hope I'm not as crazy when I'm that old.

Oh Oh! Look at the time! Time to watch Wheel of Fortune Willow. I'll be right over for our weekly game of seeing who can get the puzzles first.

This was the question.

Bumped and bolded for Willow.

I answered that. I asked him to prove they weren't. last I checked we were at impasse' course I have three thousand reasons to say I probably would not trust their good intentions towards America, it just seems very suspicious that they chose "THAT" particular place for their shrine of tolerance.. just call me cynical.

Personally i believe if the builders of this large Mosque really wanted to extend a hand of peace, love, and tolerance they would decide to build it somewhere else. Anything less seems like an act of aggression in my opinion. I really am interested in hearing how you all feel about this. Thanks.

Just to set the record straight, the name of the proposed building is Cordoba House and it is not a mosque. The planned activities, restaurant, swimming pool, bookstore, auditorium, etc... prevent it from being a mosque. It is more comparable to a Jewish Community Center or the YMCA than a mosque.

Also the plan to build Cordoba House is opposed by many Muslims.
