Cons want strict rules to fight a problem that doesn’t exist . When you turn away an old man from the voting booth because his drivers license is expired (cause he doesn’t drive anymore) you have stolen his vote .

I noted that you "answered" my question with an unrelated question about gun registration. Registering firearms addresses a problem that does not exist because law-abiding gun owners are not the problem, criminals are. Why not register criminals?
There seems to be some assumption that the elderly, the poor, and people of color are either unable to, or incapable of, establishing sufficient bona fides to obtain photo identification, even when it is offered free of charge.
Why aren't libs so hard core about voting rights as they are about guns?

Registration of firearms would help stop straw purchases. Unlike with voter fraud , gun violence IS a national problem.

These gop voter laws are created with the intention of stopping legit voters . Which is why they keep getting struck down.

You assume it’s so easy to get these IDS. Like everyone lives near an rmv and has access to their birth certificate and whatever else they want as proof . And if that non voter id proof is good enough to get a voter ID CARD why bother with the extra hoops . Just allow that proof at the voter station .
