Chicago's bloody holiday weekend continues: 54 people shot, 7 dead since Friday evening

More than 50 people have been shot and seven killed in shootings across Chicago as police struggle to respond to escalating violence during the long Independence Day weekend.

Only thing I can figure out as to why this happens every weekend up there is that Chicago must be a weekend hangout for all the criminal guns. It's the guns top vacation spot for weekend action! Why don't the guns ever kill any crackers up there?

I’m in Chicago right now. I didn’t see any shootings, in fact it’s a rather nice city; almost like a cleaner version of NYC.
