Wait, what? You can't say f**k so you are giving up f*****g?:auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg:
Since I neither said nor implied any such thing (your lack of comprehension notwithstanding) I hereby grant you one pat on the head.

:itsok:

The f word is very versatile!

I entered high school a well-bred, erudite student, but left high school using the f bomb for every other word.

What can I say, I schooled with the Bowery Boys.

I came here in 2017 again speaking clean, intelligent and respectfully, but that flew right out the door within the first year under constant trolling and attacks.

If I try to revert back to wholesome language now, I'm afraid it might just rip my entire transmission out of the power-train.

Well ducking said.

I suspect that the historical pendulum now at its apogee of woke ideology, fashion atrocity, and the total lack of etiquette and manners will swing to a much more gentile future where people will, as part of the culture, develop respect for themselves and others and avoid sensationalist behavior.

This will either happen naturally as people tire of our current stressful uncivilized culture or … we just wait for China to take over.

I'm glad I never use those words.

My other hidden personality though?

Wow!

That mother ****** has a problem with the over ******* use of the F-Bomb. I mean, wholly hell that mother ****** would put to test just about any ******* auto filter.

I see the p word (occasionally associated with kitty cats) is also newly banished to the auto edit realm.

Congrats, BA, looks like we still have the same forum rate limit problem, plan limit problem, membership problem, donation problem, guest bot problem, server problem, trolling problem, dupe thread problem, and moderation problem, but at least we've cleaned up on some of the slang words offending small groups of people concerning our legal department.

Are they using the round ones for carburetors, or the rectangles for fuel injection?

I’m not clear on why the Admins found it necessary to censor off-color language.

Does it make USMB a “better” forum?

I can’t imagine it as being repressive. I mean, their Board so their rules. If I have some all consuming desire to drop an eff bomb, maybe I can use a different board.

I do see the use of an occasional profanity as “seasoning.” But if I have to contain my enthusiasm, I guess I can get over it.

I thought we had this discussion and it was an adult forum.

******* ridiculous

Are you so stupid you haven't learned how to circumvent the issue, you Fvvcking PVVssy

Circumvention of the filter is a violation of the unwritten board rules. I don't remember the thread, but this was addressed at one time for the previous filter that blocked out derogatory language for minorities. Folks were warned then that going around it was a no-no. I'm not sure if it was the personal POV of a mod, or something having to do with the advertisers.

But if we are lawyering, this new set of filters is also technically against the laid out rules.
