No I don't. White Pride rallies are a "political event" because their purpose is to threaten other races, religions and cultures. In Charlottesville they chanted "The Jews will not replace us" as they marched past the synagogues on a Friday night. They beat up counter protestors and 3 people died.

Get back to us when Gay Pride events are used to attacked straight people and send them to the hospital. Gay Pride events are a celebration of the right to be themselves.

I disagree. Well, I think you need leadership.

In the UK teachers have to teach tolerance, and people get more tolerant because school has tolerance, football teaches tolerance. Doesn't mean everyone gets tolerant though.

In Germany and Austria you have West Germany taking all the blame for WW2, and they are much more tolerant. Yes, there was a certain amount of legislation, banning the Nazi salute, but it's also banned in Austria and they can super racist.

What made the difference was education. West Germans were educated to make sure WW2 never happened again. Austrians were education as if it weren't their fault and the East Germans were told to be good Communists.

So you can see the tolerance in Germany on election maps.

This is the main far right party in Germany. The NPD or now called Die Heimat. (The homeland).

And this is an election map of who won where according to Proportional Representation. It's pretty clear that the AfD are a further right party.

Tolerance is evidence in the former West Germany and completely lacking in the former East Germany.

Well, a lot of people see the difference between being born something, and choosing something.

Then again I've had friends with weird views. I am tolerant. I can be around people. However when I come on to a political forum like this, I'm less tolerant because MAGA arguments are SO ******* SHIT, day in, day out. It's almost impossible to have a conversation with MAGA. I can't remember the last time I had a conversation with a MAGA person who actually made a logical argument and backed it up with evidence. Probably NEVER.

Most people who claim someone else having sex "violates their conscience" are just using religion to reinforce their bigotry.

Is it really a "conscience"? I can't see it.

And if you work in a team, if you work for a company that has more than one person, you have to deal with them. You might work with black people, gay people, women, whatever. You need to be tolerant.

It doesn't "force" anything. Nobody forces you to work for any employer. If their policies "violate your conscience", don't take the job. I've turned down jobs with companies and individuals I thought were odious at best.

I used to joke that by taking a job with a big Bay Street law firm as an aging hippy, I was "selling my soul to the Devil". But I made the choice to take those jobs. Nobody "forced" me to "violate my conscience".
