Well, this board has value as a resource for observation. Pre-Trump, it felt like this was essentially a hardcore winger board, but these folks really do represent a fairly sizable swath of the GQP now.

I think they know it was a right winger but feel that if they pretend and refuse to admit it that somehow it will manifest into reality. It worked for Jan 6 for half the country. They watched it with their own eyes, most were appalled at the time, but a few years later they remember it as a peaceful march now.

Well this speaks to what has fascinated me all along about this whole disaster. When they take in information, it's immediately filtered through their ideology and they believe whatever product results from that process. And this has evolved (or devolved) to a point at which the end product is essentially 180 degrees opposed to reality.

This is why I'm so goddamn wary of ideologies. They distort.
