FYI - that would be TACO, who never served, and Brylcream Pete. (a former Captain and lastly Major in the NG)

• Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS): and the Service Chiefs: The CJCS outranks all other officers but does not have operational command authority. Responsible for strategic and contingency planning, and providing for the strategic direction of the armed forces together with the Service Chiefs.
• FYI - those are not boat Captains or Battalion Commanders such as a Major or Lieutenant Colonel (O-5) But 4-star Generals and Admirals

No, I’m saying a boat captain is in charge of running their boat. If that boat crashed into another boat, I don’t see where trump and hegseth have a part in that.

I never said or stated that - I had posted that accidents will always happen - but that the present Iran mission is a strategic disaster/chaos - due to TACO having fired/replaced top Generals whilst Hegseth has caused chaos and disarray in the Pentagon.
