But when they get caught doing it...the judge in the trial will often declare a mistrial as punishment...or even overturn a verdict. That will sometimes let possibly guilty defendants off the hook but the judge sees that as the result of prosecutorial misconduct...violating one of the tenets of our Justice System.
The ones that broke the law when they deleted and withheld evidence. What criminals?
Sure it didWell that never happened.
How do you know those were evidence of anything one way or the other?Sure it did

When someone destroys evidence it can be surmised that the evidence was of a crime they are attempting to hide. It's called "the theory of spoliation inference".How do you know those were evidence of anything one way or the other?
It was illegally deleted. How can anyone know anything about it?How do you know those were evidence of anything one way or the other?
Like when Trump told his employees to delete the security footage at Mar a Lago? When someone destroys evidence it can be surmised that the evidence was of a crime they are attempting to hide. It's called "the theory of spoliation inference".
So you're okay with the January 6th committee withholding and deleting evidence. Got itLike when Trump told his employees to delete the security footage at Mar a Lago?
Exactly like that. Deleting security footage allows the prosecution to claim it was deleted to hide something. It's wrong if a defendant does it but it's REALLY wrong if the Government does it!Like when Trump told his employees to delete the security footage at Mar a Lago?
Seems like he had a well thought out, legal answer to your question. You are okay with criminals as long as they come from your side.So you're guessing.
Dismissed.
It's not guessing, Crepitus...it's surmising that what was destroyed was destroyed to hide criminal activity. So you're guessing.
Dismissed.
Anything that crappy boy doesn't like is guessing...It's not guessing, Crepitus...it's surmising that what was destroyed was destroyed to hide criminal activity.
I don't think either Crepitus or Marener know much about the law to be honest.Anything that crappy boy doesn't like is guessing...
Okay. Glad you can admit that Trump is a criminal.Exactly like that. Deleting security footage allows the prosecution to claim it was deleted to hide something. It's wrong if a defendant does it but it's REALLY wrong if the Government does it!
You’re okay with Trump trying to destroy evidence. So you're okay with the January 6th committee withholding and deleting evidence. Got it
The act of deleting the tapes isn't in and of itself "criminal", Marener! It simply makes it allowable for opposition council to assume what was on the tapes showed without actually having them to prove that contention.Okay. Glad you can admit that Trump is a criminal.
It is illegal when those tapes are evidence on an ongoing active investigation. The act of deleting the tapes isn't in and of itself "criminal", Marener! It simply makes it allowable for opposition council to assume what was on the tapes showed without actually having them to prove that contention.
