When you look at total fatalities, the USA looks pretty good even not considering the difference between fighting the Germans and the Japanese. The BRITISH were also very risk averse after the WWI casualties not being willing to take necessary BRITISH casualties feeding in non-white troops and ANZACS into the meatgrinder instead of white British troops. The Swiss are very intelligent as well as caring men and women. A lot of yanks are too.
Each night I pray and frequently recall a little song we used to sing in Sunday school around Christmastime, "Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me, let there be peace on earth, a peace that was meant to be; with God as our father, brothers all are we, let me walk with our brothers in perfect harmony..." The Swiss people who friended our family when I was in the First grade treated our family like royalty because their son was coached by my Dad in football, baseball, and basketball, and they loved us well, as the mother was a master chef who valued their children's coach and math and sciences teacher. I have loved the Swiss people ever since, and always will. They are like the salt of the earth, and they are rather kind to their American friends.
