When will there be some controls over the amount of guns in America?

When we finally have legalized private gun ownership all over the globe.

Until every person in Australia, NZ, Europe, S. America, Africa, Asia and Canada, has the right to own a gun if they want one?

I think citizens in the US will just have to keep picking up the slack for whiny citizens from elsewhere in the world who tend to complain about shit that is none of their business.. . .

When will there be some controls over the amount of guns in America? This slaughter of children can't be in anybody's interests!
When will Canada stop gun violence?
Gun violence is a growing problem in Canada's biggest city — and last year was Toronto's worst, with more shootings than any year to date, according to Toronto police statistics.

Been teaching a long time. I guarantee veteran teachers thought things about the shooter they're "not allowed to think". Things like, "this kid is not well and creepy in a way that's dangerous to others."

Exactly like in Parkland. But we're not allowed to think these things, let alone say them. We have to worry about "bullying" and "harassment"**, when in fact sometimes kids are isolated because they're so unwell and devious that other kids don't want to be around them. Does it happen often? No, it's exceedingly rare. Have I seen it? Yes, even in late elementary school. In every case I have seen it, the children were in the judicial system before they were 18.

Sometimes incidents of "bullying", again, are polite, normal kids being repulsed by deviancy. But we can't acknowledge that, so we harangue them about being nicer, accepting, tolerance. And then when the unwell, deviant kid finally acts, we blame the kind kids for excluding him.

THAT has to stop. "See something, say something" has to extend to us saying, "This kid ain't right. And not just 'doesn't quite fit in', or 'is a little strange' but odd like 'gives me the absolute creeps'. Someone needs to check up on this kid. Often." IMO that would do a lot more to stop these shootings than gun control or metal detectors.

**before anyone loses their crap, bullying and harassment does exist and is terrible. But we always act as though all bullying/social isolation is a horror. Sometimes it's your instinct saying "stay away"

These students were killed because they were unarmed. The shootings will stop when the shooter faces the same danger as the victims.
They were surprised. All school shooting and all mass shooting are by surprise attacks.

It's not the guns that is the problem.

The problems that these kids have, that CAUSE them to think guns are the answer....................
You fix THOSE problems, and you won't see any guns in schools.
His father just bought the gun on Friday. Its the guns.

I'm willing to bet it is getting more press coverage than that "SUV," that killed all those folks in that parade.

Fox cable news forgot about it.

The shooter isn't talking and immediately asked for a lawyer.
Yup. Went quietly when police confronted him, even though he still had 7 bullets in his gun. And immediately asked for a lawyer, wouldn't speak. He had this all planned. Why he wants to spend his life in prison, I don't know, but he does.

They say his father bought the gun very recently.. Maybe he thinks he's smarter than everyone else or he wants recognition like Rittenhouse.

excerpt:

Isabel Flores, a 15-year-old ninth grader, told WJBK-TV that she and other students heard gunshots and saw another student bleeding from the face. They then ran from the area through the rear of the school, she said.

Authorities said they were searching the suspect's cellphone, school video footage and social media posts for any evidence of a possible motive.

School administrators had posted two letters to parents on the school’s website in November, saying they were responding to rumors of a threat against the school following a bizarre vandalism incident.

According to a Nov. 4 letter written by Principal Steve Wolf, someone threw a deer head into a courtyard from the school’s roof, painted several windows on the roof with red acrylic paint and used the same paint on concrete near the school building during the early morning hours. Without specifically referencing that incident, a second post on Nov. 12 assured “there has been no threat to our building nor our students.”

Both the sheriff and undersheriff emphasized that Tuesday’s shooting was unrelated to the deer head or any earlier investigation by their office.

“That was a different incident, different student,” McCabe said.

A concerned parent, Robin Redding, said her son, Treshan Bryant, is a 12th grader at the school but stayed home Tuesday. Redding said her son had heard threats that there could be a shooting.

“This couldn’t be just random,” she said.

600 million guns......over 21.5 million Americans can legally carry guns in public for self defense.....

73,000,000 children in the U.S.

One 15 year old with mental issues uses a gun illegally.

Meanwhile, 1.2 million Americans use their legal guns to stop rapes, robberies, murders, beating, and stabbings and even mass public shootings....

When will leftist extremists like yourself stop exploiting tragic events like this for problems that are the rarest of rare events.....?

Our problem is the democrat party.....the party that has attacked the police, keeping them from doing their jobs....which has increased violence in the cities the democrat control. On top of that, you have the democrat party judges, prosecutors and politicians releasing known, repeat gun offenders from jail and prison, or refusting to arrest and charge violent gun offenders no matter how bad they are.............that is the real problem...

Gun murder in U.S......2019...

You vile, disgusting, anti-gun extremists are once again smearing yourselves with the blood of the dead, while protecting the democrat party, the party that actually is increasing the number of people killed by violent criminals.....
