Something trump couldn't do!
-------------------------------------
In 2019, then-President Donald Trump threatened to impose tariffs on Mexican imports "until Mexico substantially stops the illegal inflow of aliens coming through its territory."

When Trump launched his presidential campaign in 2015, he promised: "I will build a great, great wall on our southern border. And I will have Mexico pay for that wall."

Although the Supreme Court ruled in favor of allowing him to end "Remain in Mexico" -- a Trump-era immigration policy that made more than 70,000 migrants wait in Mexico as their asylum claims were processed in the U.S. -- another Trump policy, Title 42, has prevented hundreds of thousands of migrants from accessing the asylum system citing increased public health risk due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
---------------------------------------------
We all know trump was a disaster.

Borders that are more resilient, more efficient, and safer, will enhance our shared commerce. We are committed like never before to completing a multi-year joint U.S.-Mexico border infrastructure modernization effort for projects along the 2,000-mile border. The joint effort seeks to align priorities, unite border communities, and make the flow of commerce and people more secure and efficient. President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law includes $3.4 billion to undertake 26 major construction and modernization projects at land ports of entry on the northern and southern border. These land port modernization projects will create good-paying local jobs, bolster safety and security, and make the economy more resilient to supply chain challenges – all while serving as models for sustainability and innovation. Mexico has committed to invest $1.5 billion on border infrastructure between 2022 and 2024.

In Fairness it is not for a wall but security infrastructure in general...

Still don't know why Mexico is pushed to pay a cent... It is the job of a country to control who is coming in not going out...

Also the reason there is issues is because people are fleeing violence being paid for by US Citizens through the Drug Trade...

Why can't Mexico send US a bill for the damage their Drug Problem is causing the Mexico?

This makes sense... Wait times on the border should < 10 min, this encourages higher economic trade of goods and services which is beneficial to both countries..

Its not Mexico's tramp's rapist, China and India are sending fentanyl to the US.

Fentanyl is not beneficial to my country, fool.
I know, that the drug addicts take it, street drugs.

Unless a drug is prescribed by a licensed medical professional and dispensed by a legitimate pharmacy, you can't know if it’s fake or legitimate. And without laboratory testing, there’s no way to know the amount of fentanyl in an individual pill or how much may have been added to another drug. This is especially dangerous because of fentanyl's potency.

Please stop it. When the globalists are in total control the deaths will accelerate. Tolerance will be reduced for those who live on the edge. The United States is the final domino that needs to fall. You follow a false utopia.

Mexico to pay $1.5 billion for US border, source says

When Trump launched his presidential campaign in 2015, he promised: "I will build a great, great wall on our southern border. And I will have Mexico pay for that wall."
And he did! And now Mexico is beginning to help pay for it too!

We all know trump was a disaster.
Buffoon-- Trump was a roaring success. It's Joe Biden who hasn't done DICK. And what Biden HAS done has been an absolute BOMB.

From the ABC story, here is what the "infrastructure improvements" will allow:

This will make the illegal border crossings much easier. The cartels will still profit, of course. Why would they give up such a lucrative business? As far as the skim from the construction projects, I'm not sure if the cartels will operate that racket, or if Mexico has more traditional organized crime that runs them.

Either way, it equate to a less safe United States, and more tax dollars going to criminals.

Progress, Democratic Party style!

And still not a word on the thousands of employers illegally importing them.
Surgical air strikes on drug cartel kingpins in other Western Hemisphere nations that affect people in the United States must be done.
