We certainly avoided having this loon on the Supreme Court.

But remember when Øbama and the entire coven told us that Garland was a moderate? Good times!

It’s become painfully obvious over the past year that the Justice Department under Attorney General Merrick Garland has been weaponized and politicized to the point that it represents an active threat to the rule of law and the separation of powers. It’s not too much to say that Garland’s DOJ has become a threat to the republic.
Just take this past week. On Thursday, following an historic 6-3 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that struck down a New York law for violating state residents’ Second Amendment rights, a DOJ spokeswoman released a statement saying “we respectfully disagree” with the ruling.
The ruling is of course a great victory for the Constitution and a long-overdue vindication of New Yorkers’ Second Amendment rights. The law in question had been on the books for more than a century, and made it nearly impossible for ordinary people to obtain a concealed-carry license, The unconstitutional law forced New Yorkers to prove to a municipal bureaucrat that they needed a gun for self-defense. In practice, this made it almost impossible for law-abiding citizens in New York to exercise their constitutional right to bear arms.
But neither the law in question nor the Supreme Court’s decision implicates federal gun laws in any way. There is no reason for the DOJ to weigh in on the matter or express any opinion whatsoever on the ruling. Only an utterly politicized Justice Department hoping to undermine the Supreme Court’s constitutional authority and sow the seeds of nullification would issue such a statement.

I thought of that several times, that part about the Dems pushing him as a moderate when the GOP wasn't "letting Obama have his pick." What was the evidence that Garland was a moderate? Just that the Democrats said that he was? Obviously, if he were a moderate, Obama would not have appointed him.

Hell, he may well be a moderate, in the sense that Obama was more moderate than bizarre cabal that runs Biden. But, he is following the cabal's orders, so his own moderate feelings means nothing.

So, the Justice Department is going to "respectfully disagree" with the ruling? Fine. It's still the law of the land as the Dems never tired of telling us about Roe v. Wade.

Merrick Garland, the end of democracy.

Assuming Leftists don't murder you in your sleep like they tried to do to Kav, but I think that is only common sense.

I think the fact that the GOP prevented him from becoming a Justice made him that much more of a partisan shill loon hell bent on revenge.

I hadn't thought of that at all. Good point!
It's like Justice Thomas and Kav. What they did to those two men, which was to disembowel them publicly, or as Thomas said, a high tech lynching, has to carry over in some form or fashion in terms of them wanting revenge as well.

Really, the democrats helped overturn Roe vs. Wade due to how these men were treated.

Then making known to the public where they and their family lived and and where their kids went to school and church and trying to assassinate them probably did not help much either.

Yes, I think it may have galvanized the conservatives who saw what happened to their colleagues. If that's what kept them from punking out as conservatives often do, it's a net benefit, as bad as it was.

Make no mistake: the committee is using the DOJ as a weapon against its political enemies, and Garland is allowing it to happen.

No, BIDEN is allowing it to happen. Garland is the Heinrich Himmler of Biden's new Third Reich.

Not as much of a threat as the evangelical desire for theocratic autocracy to replace the United States

When the lunatic fringe tried to assassinate the entire GOP Congress years ago, at least at that time the Bernie Sanders groupie who tried to shoot them all was repudiated by Bernie Sanders and condemned by him. But this time round, Schumer and company had personally threatened SCOTUS before their addresses were given out to the public by the lunatic Left fringe. But the worst part was, after someone was apprehended who tried to murder them, there was no condemnation by the Left. In fact, they made no mention of it at all and then refused to better protect them with needed legislation. It was basically a public endorsement of assassinations of heads of state that they refused to help thwart.

Merrick Garland was the icing on the cake as he allowed crazy Leftists to then protest at their homes, which was against the law.

Basically, the entire democrat machine in Washington and all of the Left-leaning agencies there are a globally-connected and run organized crime front of thieves and mobsters masquerading now as a political party here to enforce a fascist statism upon America.

Whereas the local gang made you pay for safety and protection, now the Biden Mob is going after everyone whom threatens to oppose them--- if you don't PLAY with them, you PAY.

They'll get paid all right.

Why because he might actually do his job and indict Trump for wrongdoing.
