1) "healthcare" literally is YOU TAKING CARE OF YOUR HEALTH; proper diet, exercise, good rest, etc. - YOU should have heard it before becoming an "adult". I think you mean "Medical Care" which is usually paid for with medical insurance, if one has such. Otherwise it's out of the patient's pocketbook.
2) Cost of vaccines is dimes compared to hundreds of dollars for medical care such as treatment for heart attacks, major illness, surgeries etc. (A better education in economics and you might have grasped this.)
3) "the government" has nothing other than what it takes from others, either in taxes or debt(borrowing). This means you and other citizens~taxpayers[Wealth Creators] are the ones who actually pay for everything the government[Wealth ReDistributor] does, or gives for "FREE".

Again, something one should know if they learned through basic civics and economics.

But you're right about Big Pharma literally getting away with murder and/or toxic poisoning. They created the problem to fit the "solution" they already had sitting in their vaults. They made a killing on that (pun intended) and now they're making more money selling their other witch's brews.

You are distorting based on your bias (yes, I read your "About" in your 'Profile' and sorry for your health misfortunes, but your situation isn't what I was referring to.)

There is the concept of triage and consideration needs to be balanced by costs versus gains/rewards. In some cases can come to the point where one is pouring money down the drain for no good purpose, chasing an impossible result/outcome, and gouging the citizens and taxpayers for such borders on criminal.

"we" treat the sick as much as reasonably possible and effective. As for the dying, ease their transition as much as possible, realize there may be no averting the inevitable.

For a start it isn't "Trillions".
A trillion is a thousand times a billion and a billion is a thousand times a million. I hope you are speaking in grossly exaggerated metaphor and not a literal misinformed grasp of mathematics/arithmetic.

In regards to the Sum of the COVID experience, at least millions, maybe on the edge of billions. USA annual Federal Budget is just over 7 Trillion so there is a scale and perspective here to consider. For actual numbers and data, see here;

"Big Pharma companies" are mostly public stock/share organizations so the shareholders/stockholders are a major part of those making the "trillions" via growth in stock values and dividends. Note that for most of the taxpayers, if they have a pension, IRA, and/or 401K these often are invested in the stocks of companies, such as "BigPharma". When it comes to COVID and all aspects of the treatments and consequences, etc. then at least million$, maybe lower number of billion$.

And a basic rule of life, which our "education" systems fail to properly teach, is that everything eventually "trickles down" to the consumer and/or taxpayer paying for. There is nothing really "FREE" anyone gets from "the Guv,mint" ~ all of that is paid for by the taxpayers, current ones or the future ones in regards to Deficit and Debt incurred by guv'mints. Taxes on 'Big Business', tariffs, costs of raw materials, cost of manufacture, transportation, marketing, etc. ALL get rolled into the price of the goods and services that the consumers/taxpayers pay to have such fro the corporations/companies.
