slander is ....the action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation......would that not damage her rep?...

Slander is intentionally making up a LIE, knowing as fact it was a lie, and repeating it to harm the other person while knowing it was a lie, false.

So yeah, it could have been harmful to Melania by hunter repeating what he had read in Wolff's Biography of Trump...but not considered legally slander because Hunter did not know as fact, it was not true....he read what was already spreading on the internet, and mentioned in the MSM earlier years, that it was true....and repeated what he had read that was out there in the public. He did no differently than Trump does on a daily basis about others he doesn't like or seeking vengeance on....and it is not slander when Trump says it because Trump begins with, I heard, or They say, etc. before he repeats a lie.

I thought it was true when I read it years back....it made some sense since her modeling agent and agency was close to Epstein....
