Meet Repub Senate candidate Ken Paxton

And in this case Cornyn used Paxton's past against him. But as I've noted on a few occasions now, R primary voters exhibit the kind of rabid "burn it all down" attitude that lead trump to beat candidates more qualified than he in the 2016 presidential primary. They seem to enjoy displaying their depravity.
Its the reason why voted for cornyn instead of paxton even though paxton will make the best senator

Cornyn was a fraud who wears a Stetson and cowboys boots only every six years when he’s running for reelection

But having a bland finger-wetting cardboard cutout would have been an advantage for the repubs in this election

Lewd acts should be against the law

And the law should be enforced
You’re being dishonest.

The law isn’t about lewd acts. The law makes it illegal for a gay couple to have sex in the private.

The fact that you and Paxton want that law to be enforced makes you extremists.

It would still be against the law

You are struggling now
Then why did you only specify public acts of homosexuality?

Do you want to make it illegal for a same sex couple to kiss in public? Hold hands? Sit in each others arms?

If libs want to protect two men having gay sex in a private bedroom I that that could find majority support even though the vice cops are not busting doen bedroom doors now

My sense is most Texas voters would be ok with that limited change

Paxton would bust down bedroom doors if given the chance and the legislature can’t seem to repeat their anti-gay laws.

And that makes him and you an extremist.

The will of the majority no longer matters in Texas given the extent to which they’ve gerrymandered their seats. The extremists are in control.

Homos are the topic here

When I was asked about straight lewd acts I included them also in post 444

You're lying.
And that makes him and you an extremist.
You're lying.
Stop lying.
Stop being a mincing nancyboy repeating gross hyperbole and outright lies. Paxton has been Attorney General for years. If he really wanted to follow this path, he would have done it by now.
He's running for the Senate, which would have nothing to do with this kind of garbage.
You live off fear and loathing, not reality.

Again.

So you say

But the law exists and he has not been doing that

Although AGs cant go out and drum up business anyway

The cops have to do that

But I get your point

Lawrence v Texas was decided in 2003 and the extremists like you and Paxton want it to be reversed.

If libs want to discuss real acts I think putting pro homosexual literature in libraries attended by small children is beyond theoretical

Which Talarico has done

Its an overt attack on childhood innocence

Cornyn was a reliable supporter of trump's policies with impeccable MAGA bona fides. But Paxton joined trump's election theft crusade when he sued a number of states to prevent Biden's certification. Which is exactly the kind of blind loyalty trump demands. So he endorsed Ken, perhaps because and not in spite of Paxton being a criminal, corrupt, adulterer............a virtual chip off the old orange piece of shit. That was enough for the party's extremist primary voters to jettison Cornyn.

I just offered to remove the private bedroom exception

that isnt being enforced anyway

But if it makes you feel better…

No you didn’t. You’re desperate to express any clear opinion on it, probably because you hate gay people so much you wish they could be prosecuted for being gay.

You said that we have to rely on the Texas legislature to do so, but since they’re all gerrymandered safe seats, they’re just as extreme as you and Paxton and have refused to repeal the law.

Again, the only reason Paxton isn’t busting down the doors because of Lawrence v Texas (which is exactly what happened in Texas in 1998 which promoted the whole case).

Most of the court that decided Lawrence v Texas in 2003 is different, but that piece of shit Thomas is still there and voted in favor of letting Texas keep busting down doors to arrest gay people.
