(Medicaid is) "Not for Twenty-nine Year Old Males Sitting on their Couch Playing Video Games." At Last, a Senior Republican says . . .

Well I'm certainly no expert on it.
Here's what I know about it.

It is a secure way to communicate financial transactions that is basically unhackable.
Each leg of the communication chain has a unique interface code with the next that is never duplicated. This makes it impossible to interrupt the chain in the middle and continue on to the end transaction unless it's from the origin.

That type of payment system should help eliminate layers of fraudulent transaction additions to the billing process because it either starts from the beginning or doesn't start at all.

That won't stop people from lying about services rendered but it will make it impossible for anyone to lie and get away with it.

The poor aren't going to get rich. The middle class are never going to get rich. That's nonsense. 50 thousand dollars per year is "poor" today. Wages are very low and will never catch up.
I am 70 years old. I will tell you the elderly take a good percentage of the wealth of the nation. That leaves less for the younger people. My generation is huge and is still retiring for the next decade or so putting more people on social security and medicare. So how do we deal with this? Look what Trump is going through with DOGE.

The amount of fraud is not going to cover it. Perhaps we need to cut things like the dept of commerce.

Agreed.

But so far no sign of hurt grandmas other than imaginary ones.

Except for grandmas locked up for protesting abortion clinics.
... outside of eight feet is fair.

Get in someone's grandaughter's face, and granny imperils herslef.

what if they be paraplegic, 29 and sitting on the couch playing videos?

You know what he meant. What if he had said Medicaid is not for 29 year old healthy males sitting on their coach playing video games? How does that change your argument?

Not for me, not for me, etc. Show fraud. Show lots of it. Stop shouting and show it.

It would be fair if it was fairly applied. If it was protesters must stay 8 feet from the entrance of any establishment that people go in and out of I would be all for that.

But this is a special protection for one industry only, the abortion industry.

So the law on his face is unfair, and it has been unfairly applied. So what could’ve been good, the Democrats turned bad as they so frequently do. Now the Republicans will repeal it, and the Democrats will cry.

Not to worry though. There are plenty of state laws against harassing anybody anywhere. Special protection for the highly taxpayer funded Planned Parenthood is not needed.

A pro-abortion activist got into the face of Mark Houck’s preteen son and Mr. Houck pushed the activist away.

For that and his family were subjected to an FBI swat style.

Sure, it is fairly applied.

It is on you guys to show it is not.
Or just repeal it.

We don’t have to try to “show“ something so obvious to people whose response to evidence is closing their eyes and putting their fingers in their ears.

Cutting off healthy 29 year olds from Medicaid sounds fine, but those aren’t the people that cost Medicaid much money, since they’re, you know, healthy.

The vast majority of Medicaid spending is on elderly, children and disabled.
