Media: we're deeply concerned about the cost of mass deportations! Also the media: never once ever asked how much mass immigration costs taxpayers

This is not a realistic number. I bet you don’t know where it comes for or how it was derived.
It's a realistic number. I bet you never bothered to look.

How does it benefit the country? We let people get away with “crimes” all the time especially when they’re victimless.
People who come here legally pay a visa fee, $185 to $315. Illegals don't pay that. Pretty self explanatory.

A spectacular sidestep with a non- answer.

No, I looked. It’s from the CIS which is a highly partisan and somewhat fringe conservative think tank that only hard right wingers take seriously.

The dishonesty in the data includes counting benefits for US citizens as part of their number as well as including the entirety of the budget for the border patrol and seriously undercounting what the way pay into the tax system.

You looked for a reason to defend your biases. You have nothing to counter but a schoolboy. "Nuh ug". You are seriously desperate by claiming "what they put into the system" with your usual " because I say so", nonsense. Typical for silly leftist loons.

Read my response again because I gave my reasons. You ignored them.

You’re a dishonest hack.

Your reasons are absent any meaningful data, you dishonest fraud.

You don’t need data to understand that including the budget of the CBP as the cost of illegal immigrants is dishonest.

You’re being illogical and dishonest.

Since you won’t respond to what I write, there’s no point in attempting a discussion.

You're just being a dishonest hack. I won't respond in the affirmative to your hack, unsourced comments.

From the Newsweek link. "The FAIR study, released in March last year, documented the financial toll of illegal immigration on the U.S., taking into account factors like emergency medical care, incarcerating illegal aliens in local jails, and federal budgets that pay out billions in welfare every year, pegging the net annual cost at $150.7 billion."

The study you’re quoting is my source. You never read it, obviously.

The study cited is from a link I supplied from Newsweek. Your post #84 referenced CIS which is not the FAIR study referenced in the Newsweek link.

Read what you post before dishonestly trying to sidestep.

Instead media should become deeply concerned and committed to reporting facts

You’re right. I mixed up the two right wing fringe anti-immigration organizations.

CIS didn’t say anything about $150 billion. My comments criticizing the study apply to the FAIR study.

The study is very dishonest. As if we will stop paying for the border patrol if we deport everyone.

It’s dishonest because it includes as a “cost” the funding for the border patrol among other illogical problems I’ve already listed.

The F.A.I.R. study does not include the cost of funding the border patrol.

  • At the start of 2023, the net cost of illegal immigration for the United States – at the federal, state, and local levels – was at least $150.7 billion.
  • FAIR arrived at this number by subtracting the tax revenue paid by illegal aliens – just under $32 billion – from the gross negative economic impact of illegal immigration, $182 billion.
  • In 2017, the estimated net cost of illegal migration was approximately $116 billion. In just 5 years, the cost to Americans has increased by nearly $35 billion.
  • Illegal immigration costs each American taxpayer $1,156 per year ($957 after factoring in taxes paid by illegal aliens).
  • Each illegal alien or U.S.-born child of illegal aliens costs the U.S. $8,776 annually.
  • Evidence shows that tax payments by illegal aliens cover only around a sixth of the costs they create at all levels in this country.
  • A large percentage of illegal aliens who work in the underground economy frequently avoid paying any income tax at all.
  • Many illegal aliens actually receive a net cash profit through refundable tax credit programs.

However, the costs associated with the border patrol to feed, house, and supply medical treatment to illegals are an obvious taxpayer cost.

Page 22 of the “study”. I told you that you don’t read it.
