It has taken weeks to count all votes, including absentee ballots and military ballots etc, before votes are CERTIFIED by the State.
The only reason elections are called by TV stations EARLY, and on election night, is because there was a margin of victory greater than the absentee votes left to count.
Because of covid dangers, absentee voting and requests for absentee ballots have tripled or quadrupled in number....
Which obviously will take much much longer to count...

It’s understood that conservatives fear a large voter turnout, as Republican candidates tend to lose elections when turnout is high – which is why Republicans work to place obstacles to voting and seek to suppress the right to vote.
Scott’s proposed ‘legislation’ is an example of that effort.
