I was thinking something similar.

The left has always maintained that it is not so much about Kamala or Joe, but about the people they put in charge to handle things.

IMO? Whomever told Trump to do this was genius. OTH? Kamala's people told her to skip the Al Smith dinner, and just dial it in. Clearly that was a bone-headed idea.
One has people that get it, and do good work, the other? Not so much.

Clearly one has a staff which is intelligent and not so much influenced by partisan politics, and the other has staff of apparatchiks.
