Massive Teachers Union Sues Mom Who Asked About Political Material In Kindergarten Curriculum

Law controls what they can see not the Union. We have federal laws that determine already what is and is not available to be viewed.
Which is why the Union is going to court. Fuck me this is hard work.
[/QUOTE]
NO they are going to court in the hopes of bankrupting her on frivolous charges. The system is working fine I a parent make a request or 200 and the school administrators review the requests and respond with a reply eiter the material I ask for or a response that that is not allowed.

She is a malignant crank fishing for anything she can find to support her loony political views.
She is demanding answers from the government which she has the right to do and more should do the same.

The government is the malignant crank interfering in ebvveryone'slife in every way on a daily basis.

She has the right to whatever views she has loony or otherwise and to demand answers fromn government.

Fascist bastards like you love government and refuse to allow questions to it. Go lick the queens boots and leave real people to exercise their rights that you are too weak to defend

You dont know what she is asking for.

The teachers are the bosses of the teachers union. The union is protecting the privacy of its members As they are supposed to do.
Maybe in the UK, not in the USA. Here the public Employee Unions work with the politicians to the detriment of the students and the few competent and caring teachers that are left. Union management is unresponsive to member needs.

No it shouldnt. It should be confidential between the employer and employee. There are safeguards in place to protect the kids and that is that.
The employer of a public employee is gasp THE PUBLIC. A child’s records should only be available to the parent and the teacher.

It seems like a massive fishing exercise. I doubt that it will be the last of these. I imagine the union is laying down a marker on this to ensure their members are not persecuted by nutters like this woman. It seems a lot of nonsense over kids who will basically be taught to play nice for a couple of years.

But judging by the yahoo reaction on here it plays well with people who can barely read so we will see a lot of this.
If the information wasn’t proper for a FOIA request, the school board would have refused on legal grounds to release it. Instead, the teachers union is suing the school board to prevent the release,

You really struggle with the concept of a free trade union serving the interests of its members. Trying to think of other countries where unions were so hated.
The problem is that Public Employee Unions are not free trade unions. They work in a protected environment that has no contact or responsibility to the people paying the bills. Your wonderful free trade unions in the UK and Australia were striking during WWII and had a lot to do with the UK’s fall from greatness.

I only agree that unions have the resources to do more research into the subject matter they want to influence. Pareto Optimalities from a union are not unreasonable.

How exactly they contributed to this fall? By demanding more profits for the workers and causing the employers to move overseas?

Parents have a right to review their child's curriculum!
We should have that right but we do not have it right now in actuality; And if we don't fight for it it will only be a matter of time before it is actually legislated right out of the aggregate of our personal rights.

board meetings is where the parents have a voice, if the board doesn't want to listen, I'd sue em.

In most school districts, curricula are right there on the school's website. At ALL schools, teachers will go over the curriculum for the classes they teach, step by step, with parents who come in for parent-teacher conferences, which are held at least 4-5 times a year and any time upon request.

In a brazen attempt to intimidate American citizens in an effort to stop opposition against to Marxist Extremists indoctrinating our children as early as in Kindergarten, 'The National Education Association has sued a mother in Rhode Island who asked what her daughter would be taught in her kindergarten classroom.'

“This brazen and unprecedented act of intimidation by the NEA will not stand,” said the Goldwater Institute’s Director of National Litigation Jon Riches, who is representing Solas. “Nicole Solas is entitled to know what her daughter’s school is teaching in the classroom. She’s entitled to ask questions. And she does not deserve to face legal action just for asking questions any concerned parent would ask.”

YES, parents have the right to know what Marxist-government-funded/run public schools are teaching our children AND to have a say in their education.

"Nicole had emailed the principal of her child’s school in the South Kingstown School District asking for the kindergarten curriculum and whether it would include teaching the young kids politically charged materials, such as lessons influenced by critical race theory and gender theory. Solas “immediately faced stonewalling from the school, and even a threat of legal action for asking too many questions,” according to the Goldwater Institute. “Ultimately, Nicole received a bill for $74,000 to fulfill a public records request filed by the Goldwater Institute on her behalf in July.”

Now Solas is up against the NEA, which the Goldwater Institute calls a “veritable goliath” that “represents over 2.3 million people nationwide” and has “a budget of over $300 million.”

“The NEA is so determined to push its political agenda that they are willing to expose themselves in a court of law for who they really are: an association of bullies eager to challenge a stay-at-home mom who simply wanted to know what her daughter would be taught,”

“This lawsuit won’t deter me from asking questions, and I encourage all parents to do the same, so that they are empowered to make informed decisions regarding their children’s education.”
- Solas

Massive intimidation to force parents to sit down & STFU, to let the govt do with your child as they wish....the extremists are at war with the American people, attempting to squash all resistance.

Who the hell do these parents think they are , wanting to know what these democrats teach their children? The parents must learn that democrats have the right to indoctrinate their kids the way they see fit. Parents don't like it , too damn bad , stop having kids !
