Killing a family is not a public mass shooting ......that is how they lie...when people read "Mass Shooting" they assume you mean a shooting in a public space of complete strangers.....and of course the story this article is based on is not that.......it is a family killing ...
And guess what....they have those in Australia too...with all of their gun control....

There's a Wikipedia page that shows the relation between gun ownership, gun murders, and population per state.

For example: Maryland gun ownership in '07 was 21.3%, and gun murder rate per 100k persons was 5.1.
Meanwhile, West Virginia gun ownership is double that of Maryland at 55.4%, but gun murder rate per 100k persons is only 1.5.
If that page and its statistics were taken as a whole fact, it would conclude that more guns = less gun murders.

And just like the list of "School shootings," they lie about that too, since people assume a "School Shooting" is a shooting inside a school.....and of course when you see the 172 school shootings...that isn't what they mean...they used any shooting in the proximity of a school or school grounds and called it a "school Shooting" to get that number......check politifact on that one....

The main reason for the criticism of Everytown’s count is that its definition of "school shooting" is relatively broad. The group’s criteria goes beyond what many people would consider "school shootings" -- incidents in which a student or an intruder enters a school and fires at innocent students and staff. For many people, this is the first thing that comes to mind when they hear the phrase "school shooting" -- an incident such as Sandy Hook or, before it, the 1999 Columbine shooting in Colorado that left 15 dead, including the shooters.
Here’s the methodology as explained by the group at the bottom of the list:
Incidents were classified as school shootings when a firearm was discharged inside a school building or on school or campus grounds, as documented in publicly reported news accounts. This includes assaults, homicides, suicides, and accidental shootings. Incidents in which guns were brought into schools but not fired there, or were fired off school grounds after having been possessed in schools, were not included.... Incidents were identified through media reports, so this is likely an undercount of the true total.
This definition allows for incidents that don’t typically call to mind the term "school shooting" -- for example, a case in which a man unaffiliated with Alogna High/Middle School in Iowa killed himself in the school’s parking lot in the middle of the night, or an early-morning armed robbery on a street that goes through the Marquette University campus in Wisconsin. Both count in Everytown’s tally.
Clearly it is difficult to draw lines. The Everytown list did not include the recent and highly publicized shooting spree in Isla Vista, Calif. In that case, the shooter was a student at the University of California at Santa Barbara, and he targeted other students, including women living in a sorority house near the campus. Seven people died, but the shooting wasn’t technically on campus, so it didn’t make the list.
Our Breakdown
We reviewed news reports for all 74 shootings and did our best to sort them into five categories. Here’s our breakdown. (See individual shootings by category here, with clickable links to news reports on each shooting.)

OP is a hasty generalization apropos of nothing. And a fallacy of argumentum: gun control does not eliminate murders, it greatly reduces murders is the right argument. The UK's shooting and murder rates by gun are fare below the US in numbers and per capita. Move the OP to conspiracies, please.

how does 262 equal 3 child gun deaths a day for 365 days a year...

The argument isn't that gun control eliminates gun violence. The argument is that it reduces gun violence.
And in Britain - which has tight gun control - the rate of gun violence is multitudes lower than in the US.

And you obviously don't realize that before they banned their guns the british gun crime rate was well below the United States...and that violent crime increased in Britain after the gun confiscation......and Britain is now 2 times more violent than the United States....
And obviously, their criminals can get guns.... a 19 year old can easily get a glock with 90 rounds of ammo....in Britain...even with it's extreme gun control......

No, because they would be ineffective in a society that already has hundreds of millions privately owned guns in circulation.

Nope...that is your argument....and they just didn't enact gun control...they confiscated and banned all handguns and put severe limits on long guns......so no...gun control does not work....you can't lie about it like that....
Our gun control laws have reduced gun murder rates too....and we have 12.8 million people carrying guns for self defense..
As British gun crime increases...what will you blame it on..since they already confisctated guns....

Nope......guns in Britain are obviously easily acquired by 19 year olds when they want them...and this guy too.....
they didn't enact licensign, registration or background checks....they confiscated the guns and banned handguns.........
