It's going to be a long summer I'm afraid.

For asking what gives them the idea it was terrorism? Military trained me not to be such a trusting soul. First pronouncement from government agencies, are often just pre-publicity, not based in fact. Sometimes, they never come up with facts to prove their claims, such as the missile strikes on supposed drug boats, where many killed, even attacking survivors, yet the only 2 known survivors of any of these attacks, picked up and returned to their home country without charges.

In days of old, I was paid to act in reliance. I was never trained or paid to trust. Maybe you were, but I cannot imagine why.
You need therapy.
Some things are beyond obvious but for you it always has to come down trump. I’m sure you were like this with Reagan and both Bushes.

The ACTUAL pattern is that media is usually very reluctant to attribute these sorts of things to Islamic terrorism even when it is readily apparent to anybody with any common sense that it is.

....... but don't let your inability to observe get in your way, now, ya hear?
Wow. I had not even heard for sure they were thinking Islamic terrorism. I look forward to the rest of the story, if it is ever shared with the public, including factual evidence. Somewhere, along the way, in the last year, the American public became unworthy of facts and evidence, when initial reports within hours or minutes could be adequately packaged and sold, on their own, without any evidence, to be simply accepted as fact and perpetuated with right-wing media echoing, based on some deep belief or faith, requiring no evidence.

Two people were killed and 14 others wounded when a gunman opened fire at a packed bar in downtown Austin early Sunday — and the FBI is now probing the shooting as potential terrorism.

The shooter, identified as Ndiaga Diagne, formerly of The Bronx, was killed minutes after the carnage by responding cops.

“There were indicators that on the subject and in his vehicle that indicate potential nexus to terrorism,” said Alex Doran, a special agent with the FBI’s San Antonio field office, to reporters.

Three officers who were on routine patrol of the entertainment district responded to the scene within 57 seconds, confronted the gunman and “returned fire,” killing him.

Diagne, a US citizen from Senegal, began shooting people outside the bar with a handgun and an assault rifle, according to the Austin-American Statesman.

“He put his flashers on, rolled down his window and began using a pistol, shooting out his car windows, striking patrons of the bar that were on the patio and were in front of the bar,” said Austin Police Chief Lisa Davis.

Comment:
The Left will not call this a hate crime, because the suspect is Black and Muslim.
But is a hate crime.
Where did he learn such violent hatred?
Did he learn it from the Progressive News media, or from Academia, or from left wing entertainment?
Was it from his religion?

HATE BRINGS VIOLENCE, VIOLENCE BRINGS DEATH.
SAD for those who died, Most just post they will be packing more killing power.
PS pro gun, anti gun nuts.

The truth is hard to swallow, huh.

Under Texas law, it is illegal for someone not in the employ of a bar to possess a firearm on premises. Gun free zones simply set up targets of opportunity.
It's that way all over the country.
I understand not wanting drunks with guns.
Nonetheless, as you said, it just sets up a shooting gallery for the evil ones.
