There was scant information on the suspect: Male and still at large. There is no known motive, nor a description of the shooter. The mass shooting was one of California's worst in recent memory.

You may want to hold off on that……..this may be gang violence….the shooter fled the scene and there has been on going gang warfare in that area…

If he was known and actually is a lone nut, then it’s likely that the feds npknew who he is…….and dropped the ball…..well see

California has red flag laws, so-called assault weapon ban, high capacity magazine ban, universal background checks, waiting periods...in fact they have instituted every gun control law that gun controllers claimed we needed to stop mass shootings.

So this is obviously an error.

This may be gang violence….I’m particular because the shooter didn’t stick around and keep killing……he took off…..

No motive was given. Monterey Park is a majority Asian community, and the area where the shooting occurred was crowded with families celebrating the Lunar New Year.

While some are quick — even eager — to blame the mass shooting on anti-Asian hate, it should be noted that Monterey County has been plagued by wars between rival rural gangs for decades

If it follows the trend of the majority of mass shootings it will be gang violence and an illegal weapon. This scenario will be immediately ignored by you anti-Constitutional loons because it doesn't further the cause of disarming law abiding citizens.

Impossible.

California and New York have two of the strictest "assault-style weapons" bans in the country...AND standard capacity magazine bans...AND California doesn't allow Modern Sporting Rifles to have easily removable magazines.

Must be a mistake.

Two points here. One is there seems to be a second shooting also and........................

Cops said thongs of terrified festivalgoers streamed out of the area 'screaming' after bullets continued to fly.

The Rush to get information out has led to a lot of things once caught by editors to get out.

The thing to look at is the shooter took off.....didn't stick around the way mass public shooters do.......we will see which one this is, but you can't rule out a gang shooting......but we will see....

Yep, and your remedy is to make it more difficult for sane responsible citizens to defend themselves. The more laws you pass so the average citizen cannot defend themselves, the more of these tragedies we see. It's not working.
