RIP. One of the best boxers of all time.
One of my friends dads fave. He had character and an old-school swagger. Took losing very personal and didn't do it very often. Some of the moments from fights against Sugar Ray are etched in my mind when the adults would watch the fights on TV.
Reminds me how much more character and expression all figures had so many decades ago be it sports or otherwise. Losing such characters in todays vanilla, sterile, corporate driven society is a bloody travesty.
RIP Hagler.
Indeed,hope he did not suffer.On the positive side,he is much more fortunate than we all are.he is in a much better place where he is now than where we all are,that’s for sure.
