South Korean President Yoon declared martial law last night. Let's hope this is not the start of something bigger.

It sounds like leftists are acting up and occupying government buildings in S, Korea.

A good time to stay off the streets at night. South Korean police are not shy with the night stick.

These sticks are made for knockin',

And that's just what they'll do.

'cause one of these days these sticks are gonna knock some sense in you.

Are you ready, sticks? Start knockin'

I think changing the words in my post is against the rules.

The president of South Korea is a right winger. Declaring martial law is pretty authoritarian. This is bad.

I fixed that again for ya, bro.

Your statement is nonsensical. What do you think communism has to do with the president of South Korea declaring martial law?

Duhhh. Because the people who started occupying government buildings in S. Korea are leftists and N. Korean sympathizers.

Evidence?

Apparently you never received your score card in the mail, so can't tell the players from each other, can you?

The South Korean President's own statement from this morning:

Soldiers surround parliament after South Korea declares martial law

South Korea’s President Yoon Suk Yeol declared martial law in a shock address on Tuesday night, shutting down political opposition and media outlets, with police and soldiers surrounding the parliament complex in Seoul.

I declare martial law to protect the free Republic of Korea from the threat of North Korean communist forces, to eradicate the despicable pro-North Korean anti-state forces that are plundering the freedom and happiness of our people, and to protect the free constitutional order,” Yoon said in a televised briefing at 10.30pm local time.

Through this martial law, I will rebuild and protect the free Republic of Korea, which is falling into the depths of national ruin. I will eliminate anti-state forces as quickly as possible and normalise the country.”

Says nothing about “communists” occupying any buildings.

Did you make that up?

Thank you for contributing your massive ignorance to this conversation.
