The iron grip of the RCC ended with the Reformation. Today there are many Sabbath keeping churches.

I was in the Church of Christ for several years as a youth. We met on Sunday morning but everyone in that church understood that the true Sabbath was Saturday. Did we all receive the mark of the beast? We also once had a guest speaker whose theme was "Why I left the RCC".

The Sabbath is a day of rest. I rested yesterday and I feel great today. And no, I won't be going to church today as I'm not currently in any Christian fellowship.

The Sabbath test isn't whether you attend worship services on Sunday, but if you believe that Sunday is the 'new' Sabbath.

Sabbath is the 7th day and is day of (much needed) rest.

On the Seventh Day creation was finished, so God rested. It could be said the day Christ rested in the tomb. Jesus rose to new life, to bring us into that new life on the first day of the week. We became a new creation, had life anew, on the First Day. Christians celebrate this new life on the first day of the week. The better question on which to reflect: Is it best to worship, thank God on our day of rest? Or, is it best to worship God on our day of celebration and thanksgiving for our new life? Are both right, or is one wrong? What would God say?

That poses a larger question, how much of 'worship' is simply ritual and how much is the actual worship, that of emulating Jesus Christ in our lives.
