Would be so much cheaper than Formosa and come with a deep water port and closer to the US market. I think this is a strategic goal for commie han- China and much likelier to happen than Formosa.

China could annex outer Mongolia if it wanted to. It just doesn't want to. Not at this point. They are happy to have it as a client state.
