Mao's China

China could annex outer Mongolia if it wanted to. It just doesn't want to

highly recommend:

FALSE ALLIANCES, George Friedman on 🇷🇺Moscow , commie Han-🇨🇳China empires and the Illusion of Alliance

yet if you talk to most Chinese, they will have nothing but praise for Mao.

Now, the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution were awful. No argument.

But Mao also took China from a broken, war-ravaged nation and left it a world economic power.
You lying grub!!Yes; Mao's alliance with Stalin led to him successfully overthrowing the Nationalists after the Japanese Imperial Army had decimated Chinese resistance but he was a mass murdering psycho from the get-go. He left China an economic basket case you fool!! It was Deng Hsiao Ping who set China on the path to Economic Stability and he too had his fair share of psychopathic adventures (Tiananmen Square etc) but BOTH understood the power of propaganda and the limiting of free speech.

You are a very stupid man!!

Wow, first, the proper spelling is Deng Xiaoping. You are mixing Wade-Giles and Pinyin spellings. Sadly, this is only the tip of your ignorance about the Middle Kingdom.

The Nationalists went into the resumed Civil War with four times the manpower of the CCP and top of the line US Equipment. Yet they failed miserably because of corruption, incompetence, and that they were imposing an unpopular system on the Chinese people. For instance, Chiang tried to reassert the Landlord system in the liberated lands. Something the Chinese peasants just werent going for.

Now, as for what Mao did for the Chinese economy. He took a war-torn battered country and turned it into a world power. There was a time we were more terrified of the Chinese than the Soviets. Now, there were absolute missteps, such as the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution.

Which is why today, Mao is revered in China and Deng is at best a footnote.

He took a war-torn battered country and turned it into a world 🇨🇳EMPIRE. As long as commie Han-China is consuming genocidal Mongol -🇷🇺 Moscow ulus I (kind of) support them , but once Mongol - Moscow ulus collapses I turn my attention of predatory , genocidal Han 🇨🇳 empire .

🟥 1.

— Mao Zedong, 1964, during the height of the Sino- Bolshevik ideological- imperil rift. This line was part of Mao’s broader denunciation of Khrushchev’s USSR, accusing Moscow of betraying Marxism and behaving like Western colonial powers by exerting control over Eastern Europe and pressuring Han-🇨🇳China.

🟥 2.

— Mao Zedong, 1963, in internal party discussions and published polemics. Here, Mao likens Bolshevik bosses to the old Moscow monarchy, accusing them of hegemonic behavior and imperial arrogance toward nations like Albania, Vietnam, and China itself.

not the paradise some apologists would have the rest of us believe.

Some more about Mao the mass murderer. If any of Mao apologists have any quotes from Mao's little red book come ahead. I will believe survivors and other points of information instead of Maoist propaganda.

My wife lived in China being born right after the Great Leap Forward and living as a child through the Cultural Revolution. She'll tell you that both were pretty big missteps.

Here's the thing though. Most modern Chinese still respect Mao, not because of his mistakes, but because of his accomplishments.

He ended the "Century of Humiliation" that started with the Opium Wars and turned China into a major power. He vastly improved the quality of life (life expectancy, infant mortality, literacy) for most Chinese that his successors built on.
