No surprises here. Another Canadian export of radicals, while these same police agencies chase rabbits and absolutely decimate our reputation. Although Stewart Bell is a shill for these security apparatuses who is only more than happy to pawn his books, it's still a reasonable read

Considering Canadas history, there is no coincidence that a massive amount of terrorists in Canada come from Ottawa, it would be akin to America having many terrorists coming from Washington but worse, as this s the backyard for CSIS and the RCMP.

No wonder our allies don't trust us...

Manchester bombing suspect Salman Abedi reportedly linked to former Ottawa extremist imam

TORONTO — The bomber suspected of attacking a Manchester pop concert has been linked to an extremist imam from Ottawa whom Canadian intelligence officials had warned was “promoting violent jihad” in Libya.

Quoting a senior American official who spoke on the condition of anonymity, the New York Times reported Wednesday that Salman Abedi “had links to a radical preacher in Libya identified as Abdul Baset Ghwela.”

The report appeared to be referring to a man the Canadian government calls Abdu Albasset Egwilla, a Canadian cleric who has been accused of inciting violence since returning to Libya.

Canada’s Integrated Terrorism Assessment Centre said in a 2014 intelligence report that Egwilla had appeared in a video in which he had “urged an audience of Libyan Islamist fighters to take part in jihad.”

“Jihad today is simple and easily accessible, and does not require moving as in the past, as it was for Afghanistan and Iraq,” he said in the video. The “secret” intelligence report was released under the Access to Information Act.

Last March, Egwilla’s son, Owais, who grew up in Ottawa, was killed while fighting with an armed group in Benghazi. He was reportedly a member of a militia affiliated with the armed Islamist group Ansar al-Sharia.

He had been fighting with the Omar Mukhtar Brigade, which is part of the Benghazi Shura Council, the Libya Herald reported. He had posted messages on Facebook about jihad as well as the propaganda of the Syrian branch of al-Qaida.

Egwilla did not respond to a request for comment sent to his Facebook page. The New York Times report did not elaborate on the nature of the alleged connection between the Abedi and Egwilla. Abedi had visited Libya days before attacking an Ariana Grande concert packed with teens, killing 22.

Investigates are trying to identify Abedi’s possible links to Libyan extremist groups. Libyan authorities have arrested his father and brother Hashim, who has been accused of belonging to ISIL

A Libyan-Canadian, Egwilla was imam at an Ottawa mosque but returned to Libya several years ago where he is considered a hardliner and serves as director of the Tripoli office of the ministry of religious endowments.

After his son was killed, an Ottawa mosque held a service but distanced itself from the father’s call to arms. “You want to talk about politics, take it to Tim Hortons,” the mosque president told the Ottawa Citizen. “We have no room for this. This kind of behaviour is not accepted at all.”

Meanwhile in Libya, Egwilla responded to his son’s killing by issuing another call to arms, saying in a televised speech: “Allah break the backs of the tyrants and the oppressors and the unjust and those nations of the world that are with them.

“Allah they have gathered against us and are scheming against us, so scheme against them. Trick them, kill them. … We are waiting for martyrdom in the name of Allah. And by Allah this is our path until we push back evil. We will not stop nor resign.”

Canada exporting terrorists?

I hope you get some counselling soon. Your dementia is out of control.

Let me guess, you are from the camp that believes Canada doesn't have to pay 2% towards NATO because "we help in other ways". Or, when Canadian police enter American corporations and tamper with their HR and undermine their opportunities, its ok because it's on Canadian soil.

We are no ally to America, liberty, free market capitalism or foreign businesses. The only good news is that both CSIS and RCMP have new bosses on the way. Their replacements should be read the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and forced to sign a document that suggests they understand it. Ditto for Vince Hawkes and Mark Saunders of OPP and TPS fame. These agencies have embarrassed us and made us MUCH less safe, free and economically viable. It's hitting our economy heavily as witnessed by an interest rate that hasn't increased in a decade.

Here is a list that is 3 years old which provides only a fraction of the full number, and, it's provided by state run CBC:
