Squatters

Seriously if you have rentals or are going on a long vacation, you had better take precautions against squatters, whether they are illegals or US homeless.
Long vacation? How about just picking up the dry cleaning?

Soon there will be no need for the home to be empty. You can be sitting there watching your favorite TV show and a gang will show up waving a phony deed or rental agreement.

The way to remove the Rats? Throw in a stink bomb. Then blast 'em with noise.
Block the exhaust vent and crank the heater. Problem will solve itself in one night.
A lease is a piece of paper.

Do you not think they could get a blank lease of the internet, fill in the blanks ...

Now they have a lease.
You claim it is invalid.
They say it is valid.
AND
You expect the police to haul them off in cuffs because????

And what happens if they, in fact have a lease and you are in the wrong?

That you don't understand the law as it exists is clear.
Perhaps you should gain that understanding before commenting further.
A lease is worthless without being signed by both parties.

I understand that you are a shit-stirring troll.

If you’ve lived there a long time it should be easy. The utilities, garbage, all in your name. The neighbors nearby could clear it up, you live there.

Your stuff may be in there, describe it. Describe two “features“ only a live-in would know. Show your bank payments. Should be slam dunk.

show your keys, old, used. Maybe the crooks changed the locks? New keys.

if they expect the owner to wait 90 days for a Court date? That’s crazy BS. Where are the Politicians working for the Citizens? Set up a 24 hour emergency Police action availabilty.

Shut off water, power the next weekday chance.

post signs all over. Park your cars blocking garage. Get neighbors on watch? Helping out somehow?

brainstorming?

if all fails watch the movie Pacific Heights on loop at your new rental.

Seems like FLA just enacted similar to what I posted. This is not rocket science but for the Stain infecting Amercia. Common sense 101....kick out the criminals.

Under the new process, the sheriff can make a quick determination about who actually owns the property and then take action against unauthorized occupants. Homeowners who files such complaints do so under penalty of perjury, according to a summary of the bill on the Florida Senate website.

“If the complaint shows that the owner is eligible for relief and the sheriff can verify ownership of the property, the sheriff must remove the unauthorized person,” the summary says. “The property owner must pay the sheriff the civil eviction fee plus an hourly rate if a deputy must stand by and keep the peace while the unauthorized person is removed.”

If that process results in an improper removal, however, the person so removed would have recourse.
“A person wrongfully removed pursuant to this procedure has a cause of action against the owner for three times the fair market rent, damages, costs, and attorney fees,” the summary explains.

According to that site, the bill passed both houses of the Florida legislature unanimously.

Later on Wednesday, DeSantis shared another video on X that showed some of the recent horror stories involving squatters around the country.

And anyone who supports Israel too
Agree, but I know some. I know one in particular who is a pro-Israel activist, speaks to groups in support of Israel - and still plans to vote for Biden.

Mystifying.

It took the city of STL to move out this "Sudanese" encampment right on Chippewa and Spring in STL. Amazing it lasted that long. Right on the sidewalk. Busy large street. right in front of a house.

ST. LOUIS – FOX 2 News has obtained video Thursday showing the dramatic ending of a sad squatting saga in south St. Louis.

Sudanese refugees had been living in front of someone’s home at Spring Avenue and Chippewa Street for more than three years.

The City of St. Louis removed their large shelter made from tarps and grocery carts.
The difference at the busy intersection is startling.

****With all your belongings in your house? Valuables? Guns? Medications? clothes. Tax papers? Kids rooms with their stuff? Illegal Immigrants or worse can just move in when you are out and kids in school and claim they leased it? In CA it might take 90 days to get the Courts to act? What if you neighbors swear you live there and never rented to anyone? Are these empty homes they Squat in? Or somehow they get into an occupied home? Breaking and entering? WTH!

“Imagine for a moment that you leave from your day of serving the citizens of Florida as a senator and you return to your home,” she said, according to Fox News. “But when you walk in, there are strangers sitting on your sofa, watching your TV, eating your food.”

“You ask who they are and what they are doing, and they tell you that they have rented this house and present you with a lease.”

It took Peeples over a month to get the law to evict the squatters, and in the meantime the crooks caused tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage to her home.

“At the crux of this issue is just basic unfairness,” she told WJXT. “If we don’t have the right to inhabit our own property, then what kind of world.....(a messed up world)

I find that 9mm pistols can be quite persuasive.
