Man. Where evolution went tragically wrong.

Spiritual purpose? ... evolution is silent in that regard ... if you'd bother to learn, you'd have known that ... like a house cat, you can't learn anything is seems ...
Evolution is silent on all important things, even anatomy (you can stare at your navel all you want but it isn't going to change).

Are you claiming navels are NOT an inherited trait? ... how odd ...

It takes a real anti-science hack to denounce Gregory Mendel ... I understand, one of my brothers is the spitting image of our mailman ... uncanny I thought, but this explains it better than mom did ... thanks ... Mendel's a fraud ... cool ...

Humans evolved from apes and our closet relative is the chimpanzee, this was around 7 million years ago. Humans were still ape like till about 4 million years ago, and evolved in a place that we now call Africa. So we are the human race. As humans migrated around the continent(s), the individual environments evolved humans further into different skin colour, physical features, and language.

So in essence, there's one race, the human race. The human race didn't evolve from apes in several different locations around the world.

But here we are today, people thinking there's different human races and disagreeing with one skin colour is now called racism.

If anyone disagrees, I'm interested in knowing which science link states humans evolved from apes, but in multi parts of the planet at the same time.
Liberals Wallow in the Wild

Different races evolved to different levels.

According to evolution theory a changing environment forces changes in organisms, changes that will provide a better chance of surviving those changes. Man, under evolutionary pressure changed from an organism well suited to survive in harmony with the environment to one that must destroy his environment in order to survive.

When are you going to lean in and take one for the team?

Anyone who believes humans are evil and destructive AND doesn’t immediately commit suicide for the good of the environment is a hypocrite and disingenuous.

I gave up my evil and destructive ways long ago. 😇

You’re making an impact on Mother Earth simply by breathing… stop it NOW!
Haha, this dumb talking point.

Since we aren't breathiing coal dug out of the deep ground and adding that carbon to the carbon cycle, that doesn't much matter.

Spiritual purpose?
No, not necessarily. Or maybe a better answer is not exclusively. I'm not sure I can separate the two (spirit and material) though as they are intertwined. We are happiest when we use our talents to create. I can't think of a better way of worshipping God than to use my talents to create. We are told to create for 6 days and then to rest. Creating is supposed to be so much fun that we have to be told to take a day off. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case for most folks.

I challenge you to look at nature and not see a purpose for each creature. If you look at any species you will see organization; hierarchy. That's not anarchistic. That's order. And within that order they each have their own unique role and purpose to fill.

Is it? My understanding of evolution is that life evolves for logical reasons. Natural selection is based upon functional advantage. Functional advantage is logical. We live in a logical universe where every effect had a cause. The definition of purpose is the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists. The definition of reason is a cause, explanation, or justification for an action or event. And since we live in a logical universe where every effect had a cause, evolution of space and time happens for logical reasons and serves a purpose. As much as you would like to believe everything is random and accidental, the evidence suggests otherwise. There is reason and purpose in the evolution of space and time. Nothing happened that did not have a reason, everything is connected and serves a purpose in the evolution of space and time.

Is purpose an inherited traits ... or does God set our purpose individually? ... does God set each dog's purpose individually and how would the dog know, not having partaken in the fruit of Good and Evil knowledge? ... don't you read? ...

22 - And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
23 - Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
24 - So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

-- Genesis Chap 3
I am hoping that was tongue in cheek because you are way over complicating this. You don't seem to be able to see the forest for the trees. God isn't pushing buttons or pulling levers. That's a polytheistic belief, that's not a belief of monotheism. So God isn't directing us. He doesn't need to. He let's us figure it out. He let's us make mistakes and suffer the consequences. Some of us even learn from our experiences and progress.

There is no "overpopulation," and there never will be.

You seem humble enough. You're okay with me.

The activist bit gets a little annoying. Like Jehovah's Witnesses knocking on my door.

People who "get it" are usually quiet and unassuming. They'll defend their beliefs when needed but usually aren't on the corner with a megaphone. That's been my experience, anyway.
