Psycho man tried to.board a jet with a womans ID. Denied.

He lunges at cops with a knife trying to stab them.

They shoot him.

Hes napping in the dirt.

Theres only two problems with tasing a man w a knife. Tasers are considered "less lethal" meaning very low chance of death.

- tase a man w a knife...and he falls on the knife. And dies. A terrible accidental death...and we see how those are treated. So...policies ban using tasers on a knife in general for that reason. It could easily lead to accidental death.

- problem two is that once its accepted to use tasers on a man w a knife...the monday morning quarterbacks want tasers used on ALL knife encounters. ..which will lead to dead cops. Or...eventually an accidental death by falling on the knife (see above) so everyone is pissed bc an incident where the criminal doesnt normally die...dies. Then they'll demand cops learn Rex Kwon Do Thai Chi karatisize-yo-ass skills and fight the knife hand to hand....er....hand to hand-with-knife.


Sounds good in theory. But just isnt realistic.
