Man Has A Fit Over Service Dog Getting His Seat On Airplane

That looks like a pet, not a service dog.. the guy isn’t blind. Has his foot up on the wall in front.. scrolling his phone.. probably laughing inside his pet and he got upgraded to first..

😀

It's hard to say, just from looking, whether a dog is a service animal. First time I met a friend who had a GREYHOUND who was his service dog, and was OBVIOUSLY not blind, made me start thinking differently about service animals. Turns out the perfectly sighted man had a seizure disorder, which the greyhound was very skilled at sensing.

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but when the dog senses a seizure getting ready to happen, what is supposed to be done once the dog gives its response to what is getting ready to happen?

God bless you and your friend always!!!

P.S. Does the dog just start barking up a storm?

I could see this going both ways actually. On one hand service animals always get the upper hand, but how can you tell a true service animal from a fake one is the question.

So this snowflake gets upset because he loses a FREE UPGRADE.

I always wondered that too and God bless you always too. 😊

The dog is trained in CPR and will clear the area and move the person onto their side so they don’t swallow their tongue.

Woof.

😂

^^^ If that is all true, that is amazing! :) :) :)

God bless you and the trained canines always!!!

If he’d been downgraded down to coach or bumped to a less desirable seat I’d understand his anger.

But he was upgraded to first class for free. What’s the problem?

Every airplane has a baggage area for pets. There is no reason the dog should be in the passenger compartment.

It depends on the “service” the dog is providing. Is it a “seeing eye dog?” If so ... step aside and give the dog its space! Is it an emotional crutch for some woke lunatic who needs a living teddy bear?” Then I'd be pissed as hell.

I'm not really sure, beyond getting the patient in a safe position, lying on the floor. A woman I know who had seizures would get fairly severe injuries from falling at the onset of a seizure.

Maybe there's something here:

You win, you lose. The airline is private and they can do what they want.

Only based on the contract they have with the flyer, as well as the rules made by laws and the terms of the frequent flyer programs.

Someone on the plane screwed up.

Agreed with that.

Also Doggie is a good boy aren't you doggie!

Actual service animals are the best behaved creatures on every flight I have seen them on. The guide the person to their seat, lay down under the person's legs, and don't budge until the plane lands and their person gets up.
