Actually Rittenhouse shot Rosenbaum, a pedophile who chased him down and attacked him, thus earning his Darwin award. Kyle was only 17 and under the terms of the pedophile Rosenbaum's lifetime probation, he was not allowed to have any contact whatsoever with anyone under 18. By law, Rosenbaum was not even allowed to talk to Kyle, let alone threaten him, pursue him, chase him down and attack him.
