My guess is the officer sitting in the car, was unable to quickly get in a gunfight with someone already pointing a semi-auto, or full auto (yes I know it would be illegal if fully auto) at him, but he was in position to quickly retreat, get additional help, and then make an arrest.
If someone is pointing an AR at you, I really doubt you would care about race in your decision making of what to do.

Whites resist arrest and don't get shot. This man in the OP pointed an assault rifle at the police and did not die. That's called resisting. So stick your dumb ass meme in a dark innercrevice located in your bldy.

DURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Video released Tuesday by the Carson City Sheriff’s Office identifies Alexander Allinger as the man shot and killed during April 17’s officer-involved shooting.

Allinger, 35, was last known to live in Welton, Ariz. He had a warrant for violating parole from Arizona with an original aggravated assault offense.

The video comes from a traffic stop on April 17. At approximately 9:21 a.m. Thursday, a CCSO deputy contacted two occupants who appeared to be loitering in a parked vehicle in a casino parking lot at the corner of Curry and Robinson streets, the video says.

A dramatic traffic stop unfolded on Interstate 5 near Mountain Gate in Shasta County earlier this week. New video obtained by Action News Now shows a man brandishing an AR-15-style weapon at a California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer.

The incident was captured on video by Donald Vincent De Mercurio on Tuesday afternoon. It shows the man in a white shirt stepping out of his car and pointing a firearm at the officer, who then reversed his car to create distance.

CHP later identified the suspect as 39-year-old Jeffery Dean Bembry from Lake Shastina. The CHP said after a high-speed chase south on I-5, Bembry apprehended on Oasis Road in Redding. Video footage showed him lying on the pavement as officers took him into custody.

Bembry was arraigned in court on several charges, including assault with a semiautomatic firearm on an officer and fleeing from an officer while driving recklessly. On Thursday, the Shasta County District Attorney's Office filed six felony charges against him.

These charges include two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm upon an officer, two counts of exhibiting a firearm in the presence of an officer, possession of an assault weapon, and fleeing a pursuing peace officer's car while driving recklessly.

Bembry's next court appearances are scheduled for May 20 for a plea disposition and May 22 for a preliminary hearing.

So, an officer shoots an 18yr old in the back while he is fleeing and it is justified.

Now here is a white man who gets out of his vehicle and points an AR15 at a cop and he is just taken into custody later.

Can someone explain this?

He's damn lucky the CHP did not blow his head off.

Yes, how is it a teenager is shot in the back with no weapon and this white man points his gun right at the officer and he doesn't get a scratch.
Some people are just luckier than others. Sucks to be you.
