But this goes beyond a POTUS. The problem is, because of the stranglehold that AIPAC has on our politics, we are going to keep doing the same dumb things we've been doing since 1982.

If I were president, I would force Israel to negotiate a two-state solution in good faith, and not be afraid to cut off aid immediately.

(The world would be better off if Israel didn't exist at all, but it does, and we have to deal with that.)

The Second thing I would do is take some of the nearly trillion dollars a year we spend playing Hall Monitor in the Middle East and invest in alternative energy, public transportation, and other policies to reduce our dependence on petroleum. (Which, given the ecological damage it causes, would be prudent, anyway. Oh, yeah, and the world is going to be out of it in 50 years.)

I was brought up Catholic. For reasons I won't go into here (I've posted about it extensively in other threads) I stopped being Catholic. It was actually, quite liberating.

Religion is a choice. And if a religion is supporting something horrible (The genocide of Palestinians, the molestation of children) then one has a choice to either denounce it or support it. And people should be free to judge your choice.
