I think Democrat policies pertaining to immigration were mistakes. The high rate of immigration is a major reason for the growing income gap: by competing for jobs immigrants enable employers to hold the line on wages; by competing for places to live immigrants enable landlords to raise rents.

If I lived in New York City I would have voted for Zohran Mamdani to see what a democratic socialist can do. During the War in Vietnam, I belonged to the Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee.
