To an extent yes, but I think it has more to do with teams being able to retain their talent, revenue sharing, and salary caps.This is why the NFL is the most watched sport. Parity is good.
It sucks when you start to really like a player on your team and after a few years of ascent they leave. Frankie Lindor WAS Indians baseball, then he got too good and signed with the Mets for like $400 million.
In the NFL, Brady and Manning got great on their teams and they were able to be retained by their teams. They didn’t all flock to some team that could pay astronomically more than all other teams, that also had LadanIan Tomlinson, Terrell Owens, etc. that dynamic isn’t allowed in the NFL
Having stars on many teams is a good thing. Having Stanton, Soto, Rizzo, etc all on the Yankees is the problem. Even if they win it’s like… well.. you should have won. What did you even accomplish?
