There is no militarized police state around where I live, they are all focused on where all the illegals are hiding, and once rounded up and deported, we will simply maintain better border and immigration policies to keep it that way. Or don't you know that it has always been illegal to cross the border undocumented, a felony in fact, and illegals have been deported for years going back to Biden, Obumma, Clinton, etc., except then, no one really cared. Well, no one cares now except democrats because, well, TDS.

While I agree that there are ample examples of this (like the Patriot Act), the military approach to border security has become necessary due to decades of neglect. It doesn't help that a lot of cities openly provide sanctuary to illegals.
Well, for starters, various left wing groups have been attacking ICE. When that started happening a lot, the military was called in. You can blame the government if you want, but the left wing extremists should share some of the blame too.
