so much for "we the people" (unless the "We" is the rightwingnut minority, of course)

"Americans are more likely to favor (52%) than oppose (29%) Senate confirmation of Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court, according to Gallup’s first reading on public support for his nomination. That level of support essentially matches the average 51% in initial readings for the eight nominees Gallup has tested since 1991. CONT."

59% of polled people said they knew little or nothing at all about him. Only 7% said they knew plenty about him.

Gee, if only there were somewhere people could find out information about any topic in the world. We could call it - oh, I don't know - "the Internet" or something...

He's sufficiently stupid to have allowed Our Kenyan Emperor to put his name in play.

Right is enough information to disqualify him.

it is kinda sad----so far Garland seems like a "safe-bet"-----but he would have been
in better shape if ------TRUMP-----put him up

The people elected Congress....see elections do have consequences

Guess if they put him on a national ballot, he might win.

plus the majority elected obama in 2012, knowing that he might possibly have another SCOTUS vacancy to fill.

GOP has no idea how foolish they look painting themselves into this corner...

This is quickly turning into another heavy rock hanging around the neck of the GOP. Added to the boulder there named trump. Soon they'll all look like they are looking for ants.

WTF? They already had an American Idol style vote for Garland? How many people even know anything about him except Republicans won't rubber stamp him. Stupid polls for stupid people.

Yeah, I love polls. More Americans, for instance according to a Liberal poll, would rather get a BJ from Monica Lewinski than one from Hillary...or Obama. :p

I wonder what the numbers were for Miguel Estrada?

Americans were hoping the president they elected, along with the senators they elected would simply do their job!

it's this type of nonsense that makes people fed up with politics...

most Americans are too busy living their lives and doing their jobs...

our senators should do their fucking jobs, you know, like the dignified statesmen they were elected to be.

You forgot to take a very important factor into account.
