Major Plot Flaw in the Film, "Flight" (SPOILER ALERT)

Just watched the Denzel Washington movie, "Flight."

And I have a real problem with a plot point in the film.

And to discuss it means I am going to reveal stuff you might not want to know if you haven't watched the movie but intend to.

So here is the requisite warning.

They shouldn't have imprisoned him.

He was asleep when the mechanical problems presented themselves.

He had nothing to do with that.

He couldn't have prevented it.

And as they all agreed, no one else is likely to have been able to put the plane down as safely as he did.

ALL of the souls on board would have died had he not been in the cockpit.

get him into rehab, but give him no prison time and allow him to resume flying as long as he submits to random breath/blood/piss tests.
