In a world full of bullshit extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. The stuff could possibly be effective in some way but it's certainly not Trump's magical silver bullet to end the pandemic. Is there a link to the American journal of Epidemiology' s study, so we can read it, instead of an opinion piece? The new issue of the American Journal of Epidemiology not only recommends using hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19 but argues that some news outlets have ignored the facts about the drug's effectiveness. The journal argues that hydroxychloroquine should be "be widely available and promoted immediately for physicians to prescribe." The journal says that there is evidence that hydroxychloroquine, when used with the antibiotic azithromycin, is an effective treatment if used in the early stages of infection. The most compelling argument, the journal says, is how hydroxycholoroquine plus azithromycin reduces the rate of mortality.
The journal also addresses the claim that hydroxychloroquine causes cardiac arrhythmia, noting that this side effect is rare and that the drug's effectiveness in reducing mortality far outweighs the risk of this rare side effect.
Here is an article from the Just the News website on this development:
Prestigious medical journal urges outpatient use of hydroxychloroquine regimen for COVID-19

Click on the author's name...it's hilarious!
And the last line, tells it all... "under John Solomon's leadership"
So your mind slammed shut when you saw that Just the News is run by a veteran, respected journalist such as John Solomon? Do you think Solomon controls the American Journal of Epidemiology? I've provided the link to the AJOE article. You can see that JTN accurately reported on the AJOE article. Have you bothered to read the AJOE article yet? It says the opposite of what you liberals have been saying about hydroxychloroquine.
