Madagascar plague outbreak kills 40, says WHO

The World Health Organization has reported an outbreak of plague in Madagascar that has resulted in death of no fewer than 40 people and infected almost 80 others.

The WHO warned of the danger of a "rapid spread" of the disease in the capital, Antananarivo.

Plague plague? Tulerimia, or bubonic plague, kills a handful in the US every year. Sad since it can be cured now with simple antibiotics.
