I installed a CB in my truck that has a built in radio scanner in it, that scans police, fire, EMS and DOT (not LEO DOT, like snowplows, etc) thinking it would help pass the time. Well it does, but it's also very upsetting sometimes. I heard in Dallas the other day in a computerized voice something that made my heart skip a beat:

"Medical Emergency........14 year old female.......attempted suicide." It then read out the address.

Holy shit, I almost crashed the truck I got so emotional. Poor girl, I hope she lived and gets the help she needs. God bless her.
