It began with Trump was inaugurated, his obsession with personal loyalty was on full display with his demand of loyalty and subsequent firing of FBI Director James Comey. We see it now as what he perceives as a lack of loyalty from AG Jeff Sessions is on full display.
It would be well of Trump to go back and review the oath of office that Cabinet Secretaries take. They are charged to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Loyalty to the President is not part of this oath of office. Their loyalty is to the American people, the same place Trump's loyalty should be, rather than to himself as he demonstrates daily.
