It's because we're living in pussy times. Here in the UK, we all used to get on in any depth of snow, now, more and more just use it as an excuse to stay home off work.

They are interviewing people in their 20's on the news who lived here all their lives and this is the first time they ever saw snow.
Why would we spend money on equipment that is used once every 50 years? I'm 45, and it snowed ONE time about 2 inches when I was 9 xmas eve. We actually had a white christmas that year. The ONLY year since I was born that we've had a white xmas. I remember chasing girls down the street to throw snowballs at them. That's it. Now, at 45, I get 8 inches dumped on my head in 3-4 hours. And a low of 4. beating the old record from 1895. On Christmas day I think it hit 74. Today, 4.
