There is much talk about packing the court and expanding seats. But I think that is excessive. What they should do is end the filibuster in the Senate.
Democrats should immediately:
1. Repeal the Trump Tax Cuts
2. Pass effective Gun Control
3. Expand Obamacare and make it impossible to repeal
4. Pass Immigration Reform
5 Pass extensive Environmental Protections
1. repeal tax cuts. i am not in favor of "the last guy did this i'm going to undo all of it" because it sets a tone that the last person got everything wrong. while fun to emotionalize this argument, it's not factual. it's 100% impossible for any of us to be 100% right or wrong.
2. define effective gun control. so far the left can't even define why an AR15 is different than a ruger 10/22. you're going to stall here. esp after 8-12 months of violence that sent gun and ammo sales to historic proportions. if you want people to feel safe, stop people from attacking them all the time.
3. health care needs an enema. we are never going to be socialist here as there is far too much inherent baggage to change. may as well be trying to shoot water UP a waterfall with a squirt gun. create an intermediate system that will offer free medical education in exchange for "X" years of service in a public setting under seasons doctors guidance. you can't change it so leave it alone and invent a new way to cover a process and if better, it slowly takes root and over.
